Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis told Paul Gutierrez of CSNBayArea.com that he’s very happy with what general manager Reggie Mckenzie has done since being hired last year.
“Everything is going as planned,” Davis said. “He’s doing what he was hired to do. I’m very happy with it.”
Davis doesn’t have a choice but be happy. Mckenzie inherited a roster that was a mess when he was brought in. It’s going to take another couple of years before the Raiders have completely dug themselves out of the hole they’re in.
While Mckenzie may not be signing the best free agent talent on the market, he’s doing the best he can with what he has to work with.
